Localized Product UI
Building a language-agnostic UI system to support localization and reduce cognitive overload for global viewers.
About the project
Before this project, all product UI in our marketing materials included English text. This worked for English-speaking visitors but created confusion for global audiences and misrepresented the product, which is localized into more than 80 languages. As Articulate expanded its localization efforts, we needed a system that would support a consistent experience for viewers everywhere. As the Design Lead, I guided the project from initial problem framing to final implementation. I led the effort to create a simplified, language-agnostic UI system that reduces cognitive overload for global viewers. I validated the approach through interviews and subject matter expert collaboration, then partnered with designers to bring the system to life across our localized pages.

Cross-collaboration
I partnered with the Product Design Team and Product Managers to ensure the system accurately represented our core product, collaborated with international subject matter experts to confirm it supported global viewers, worked with Design Leadership and Developers to make sure it could scale across localization efforts, and onboarded designers to apply the solution consistently across localized marketing pages.
